How do I send emails over SMTP?

This article describes how to send emails from Google Docs over SMTP using a third-party provider (such as SendGrid) to overcome the email quota limits imposed by Gmail.

Available from the Google Docs Add-on Only

Step 1

Click Extensions > Mail Merge > SMTP Settings.

Step 2

Select Yes from the first drop-down and enter the SMTP settings for your chosen email provider.

Step 3

Click Save to apply changes.

NOTE: If you are using Gmail SMTP, you will need to enable Less Secure App Access.
