What should I do if I receive errors related to third-party Drive apps being disabled?

This article describes how to overcome error messages which may result from third-party apps being disabled in the Google Admin settings.

The Problem

You may receive the following error message while using the Mail Merge add-on:

"The domain policy has disabled third-party Drive apps."

This error occurs when third-party apps are disabled in the Google Admin settings.

The Solution

The issue can be resolved by changing the Google Admin setting to allow third-party apps for Drive files.

NOTE: You need to be the Google Admin administrator for your organization to allow third-party apps for Drive files. If you are not the administrator, you will need to ask the administrator to allow third-party apps for Drive files.
